RSA Security Japan and Intec Announce Joint Release of Identity Management Solution
Featuring enhanced integration between RSA ClearTrust® web access management solution and Intec’s MaXware Identity Center
RSA Security Japan Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Osamu Yamano), a specialist in identity and access management (I&AM) solutions, and INTEC Inc. (Head Office: Toyama City, Toyama; President: Hideaki Miyaji) today announced that they will jointly strengthen the integration (*1) between RSA ClearTrust® web access management solution, and MaXware Identity Center (MIC), a provisioning product distributed by Intec. Together, the two companies will provide a comprehensive solution in the field of I&AM.
Enterprises typically operate a variety of systems and have to manage user information and access rights for each system. RSA ClearTrust software provides centralized management of access rights based on the job responsibility, level and department of each employee.
MIC, Intec’s provisioning solution offers automated synchronization of user information and executing complex update-processing for each program. As a result, system managers can significantly reduce the administration involved in user and access management.
MIC has enhanced its interoperability with RSA ClearTrust solution by adding the following two features:
1. MIC workflow authentication using RSA ClearTrust software login authentication
2. MIC’s centralized management of additions, deletions, and changes in RSA ClearTrust software’s user group passwords
By employing RSA ClearTrust solution and MIC, organizations will help improve their security through the sophisticated management of user information and access rights that the two products jointly offer. Return on investment may also be realized rapidly through reduced operating costs and improved productivity.
RSA Security Japan and Intec provide their end users and partners with identity management solution by combining the two products in the Japanese market.
Main features of interoperability between the two products:
1. MIC Workflow authentication using RSA ClearTrust software’s login authentication
RSA ClearTrust authentication as one of the options in MIC’s authentication selection property. By selecting RSA ClearTrust solution, the end user - with a single authentication of his/her account password on the MIC workflow screen - will be able to access other web applications controlled by RSA ClearTrust software. (Conversely, once admitted to a web application that is managed by RSA ClearTrust software authentication, the user can log onto MIC’s workflow screen without having to go through the authentication process again.)
2. MIC’s centralized management of additions, deletions, and changes in RSA ClearTrust software’s user group passwords
One of MIC’s new identity management features is a template for managing RSA ClearTrust software’s user information. Through this template, MIC will automatically update all the user information stored in RSA ClearTrust software’s data store and allow the synchronization of the user information in each system.
*1: MaXware Identity Center, a provisioning solution, has been certified as RSA ClearTrust Ready by the RSA Secured® Partner Program, which provides the assurance of interoperability between RSA Security products and products from other developers.
