MaXware appoints Andrew Rattigan as Vice President of Sales for EMEA
Industry veteran brings 20 years of IT security experience in Europe, Middle East and Africa
ISELIN, N.J. and TRONDHEIM, Norway — May 8, 2006 — MaXware, the global identity management expert, today announced that Andrew Rattigan has joined the company as vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Leveraging his successful 20-year track record in EMEA sales, Rattigan will oversee all commercial activities in the region, including strategy and operations. Rattigan will report to Ståle Svenning, chief executive officer and president of MaXware.

Rattigan joins MaXware from Avecho Group, an Internet security and anti-virus specialist firm, where he most recently served as senior vice president, business development. Prior to Avecho, Rattigan was responsible for McAfee’s EMEA channel organization in his role as EMEA Channel Director. At McAfee, Rattigan was charged with moving the EMEA organization to a channel-centric model, developing and implementing channel strategy and working with local channel teams to achieve sales targets and strategic objectives.
Rattigan has also held various senior positions at Exstor Systems, Baltimore Technologies, RSA Security and Landmark Graphics Corporation. Rattigan started his career at Northern Telecom before moving to Sun Microsystems, where he advanced through various technical and sales roles before moving to Moscow as the Country Manager responsible for establishing Sun’s operations in the former Soviet Union.
Rattigan earned a bachelor of science with honors in Engineering Science from the University of Exeter.
